Details of all lesson formats and courses are given below. One-to-one lessons take place in my teaching studio at a mutually convenient time, and for a regular weekly slot, I offer a termly contract for Music lessons, or blocks of 6 lessons for Alexander Technique.

 

Music Lessons (One-to-one)

Alexander Technique Six week course

A group setting provides the most exciting way to learn the Alexander Technique.  All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged; a mix of levels enhances the learning potential for everyone present.

When: Tuesday evenings starting 21st January, 7pm-8:30pm

Teaching Credentials

Diane studied Music at the University of Birmingham, graduating with a First Class BMus in 2007.  She began teaching Piano and Violin in various tuition centres while studying for an MMus in Composition, which she was awarded in 2010.  Since 2009 she has taught Aural and Theory in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Junior Dept., Violin at the Midlands Arts Centre (mac) and run a successful private teaching practice.

In 2012 Diane commenced part-time study with the ITM (Interactive Teaching Method Approach to the Work of F. M. Alexander) to become an Alexander Technique teacher.  She gained her level 2 certificate in 2016.  In addition to offering lessons and courses to the general public, Diane runs classes and workshops at the Junior Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and teaches regularly at the ITM UK Summer Workshop. 

Diane is fully insured for both music teaching and Alexander Technique teaching, and is a member of the following professional bodies:
